Lemonade + Chicken = Lemonade Chicken!!

Super yummy!

I got this recipe from one of my friends' cookbooks. It was a slow cooker cookbook.

I love slow cookers because I just throw everything in a pot when the baby takes her nap, and let it cook. Not another thought about dinner. Great for busy moms!

I unfortunately don't have any pictures for this. We forgot to take some before we ate. So these will have to do...

Ok, ok, ok. Enough pictures. Here it is:

6 Chicken Boobies (halves)
3 Tbs Ketchup
1 Tbs Cider Vinegar
2 Tbs Brown Sugar
3/4 c Lemonade Concentrate
2 Tbs Cold Water
2 Tbs Cornstarch

Put first 5 ing in pot, cook for about 2.5 hours on Low.
Mix the water and cornstarch till smooth. Take chicken out and set aside. Add water and cornstarch mixture to juices in pot. Cook until thickened on H, and add chicken till warm.

Diaper Cakes

We still are not settled in, but what was I expecting.

In between unpacking and organizing (and decorating for Halloween, of course), I've been making a few things to add to my store. Though, I have yet been able to post them. I'm still needing to go to UPS to figure out the cost of shipping.

Well, here are a couple of the diaper cakes I am selling at a flower shop in town.

These cakes include 2 receiving blankets, 1 6-9 mo onsie, 2 silicone 0-6 m pacifiers, bath toy, Johnsons travel pack, and a toy. These will soon be posted at my Etsy shop. If you are interested, you can go here!!

These are some past cakes I have made ( I forget what's inside)

I made this one super girly because I knew my friend would LOVE it!!

This is the very first one I ever made. I have a better picture of it, but it's stuck on my old cell. My friend sent me this picture of them "unwrapping" it.

It's funny, but the way these cakes are posted is the way I made them! Most recent on top to oldest on bottom!

Well, I better get me some sleep. I've got a teething baby on my hands.

The Mothers' Christmas Presents

I've been MIA lately. We just got done moving into our new place and are somewhat unpacked.

I am so excited to be out of our itty bitty apartment.

Before we moved out, I was ablt to get two Christmas gifts finished. Yes, Christmas gifts. This year I decided I was going to make all my gifts.

DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU ARE MY MOTHER OR MY MOTHER-IN-LAW!!! If you continue, your gifts will be spoiled. Just trying to warn you...

I am making this gift to go with another, but I just haven't had a chance to make the second part yet.

I wanted to give them a little bit of my baby for Christmas since they are so far away from her. I decided to make them shadow boxes. These are so simple and if you go at the right time, you can get the boxes on sale. I am debating about making myself one.

I picked out some paper that I really lied. I wanted something green and pink and I found these.

I cut out the pink and green paper the size needed to fit in the shadow box. Then, cut the pink glittery paper to border the photos I wanted to add.

I used a few stamps to stamp her name under her photo, and I sewed a few buttons to the corners of the page. Added a glass dream ornament and a few stickers. To give it a more personal touch, I stuck on one sock and one mitten of hers that she has out grown.

It didn't take me as long as I expected it to.

Now I have to figure out how to wrap these so they don't get beat up on the plane ride home.

Gifts 2 out of 18 complete!!
